Don’t you love sleeping in your own bed again after being on a trip? I sure do!
It’s great to be back home, after four days in St. Louis, for a business retreat (if you’re ever there, be sure to check out the amazing Union Station Hotel lobby, and catch the hourly light show. Stellar!)…
…followed by a long-overdue visit with my wonderful in-laws in Alabama.
(Am I the only person on the planet who actually likes my in-laws? Oh, wait, my husband likes his in-laws, too. 😄 I feel like we hit the jackpot, because I wasn’t nearly as lucky with my first marriage. But that’s another story…)
I also lucked out with weather on my travels — not too hot, amazingly! — and came home to yet more rain here in California.
That hasn’t put a crimp in my style, though, because since I’ve been home, I’ve had my nose to the proverbial grindstone, working on a variety of projects at my sit/stand treadmill desk.
Here’s what’s going on at Creative Sandbox Solutions™ HQ:
Facilitation
🤩 I’ve been leading the second cohort of an Improv Leadership Training (all virtual) for a national creative marketing agency.
When I asked them at the end of the session what was ONE WORD that described the feeling they were taking away, these are the actual words they shared (copied and pasted directly from the chat box):
Encouraged
Inspired
Inspired
Connected
Committed.
Excited
Creative
Gotta love those responses! 😄
Course Creation
✍️ I’ve been writing (and editing… and editing… and editing) lessons for the online learning course I’m creating for Madecraft: Elevate Virtual Trainings Through Creativity and Connection.
This process is highly collaborative, and my editors have been a dream to work with.
This week we blocked out a tentative filming date on the calendar for August. Pretty exciting!
Public Speaking
🎤 I’ve been preparing an 8-minute talk on “The Productive Power of Play… At Work,” for a speakers showcase (on Zoom!) on May 20th at 9am PT, featuring 10 different speakers hosted by the Northern California chapter of the National Speakers Association.
If you hire speakers for your organization, this showcase is a great way to see TEN speakers in action in one shot, and event planners are invited to attend at no cost. Email Janice Litvin for the discount code, at janice@janicelitvin.com.
And YES, the session will be recorded and shared with all registrants!
I’d love to see you at the showcase.
Now I’m off to play a little double bass before getting back to that proverbial grindstone. 😉
Stay tuned for more goodness in the works!
