Fall 2019 Creative Sandbox RetreatImprov Fundamentals

This six-week class is a playful introduction to the world of improvisation. 

You’ll learn the tools and principles of improv through games and exercises designed to build your skills and foster trust, and help you tap into your creativity while quieting the voice of the inner critic. 

This class is perfect for those who are brand new to improv, and those wanting a refresh. 

Improv Fundamentals runs for 6 consecutive weeks. 

When: Tuesdays 7-9pm, January 9 – February 13, 2023

Where: TBD – Sunnyvale/Mountain View/Palo Alto area  

Maximum number of students: 12

Tuition: $200 

You will learn:

About the Teacher:

A former professional artist, Melissa Dinwiddie also performed as a jazz singer around the Bay Area before diving into improv in 2013. She studied improv at BATS Improv and ComedySportz, among others, and has performed with a variety of improv groups around the Bay Area, including All That Jazz, a musical group specializing in long form, Hollywood-style improvised musicals set in the jazz era.  

As a Creativity and Communications Consultant, Melissa helps senior tech leaders increase their influence and reduce conflict by helping their TEAMS communicate and connect better to have impact across (and beyond) the organization, all using improv and other play-based methods.
