Quotes

“Self-hatred thrives on being silenced. It thrives on being hidden and so the whole series is about getting it out in the open, looking at it, and even exaggerating it so you can grapple with it and wrestle with it and begin to understand the roots of it.” – Rythea Lee

“We have this sweet, whole, loving innocent child inside of us and when we’re criticizing ourselves that’s who we’re basically annihilating.” – Rythea Lee

“I was battling my self-hatred at this whole other level trying to demonstrate and illustrate what it was. I would have the most intense backlashes after each episode or sometimes during it like my self-hatred would just try to kill me while I was making the episode.” – Rythea Lee

“We figure out how to do it by doing it. We grow into it by doing it.” – Melissa Dinwiddie

“Exposing my most vulnerable self has really worked for me. It has really served me.” – Rythea Lee

“You can’t bring that voice of self-love in without the self-awareness that it’s needed.” – Melissa Dinwiddie

“The love and the pain are in the same box. If you don’t go to the pain, you’re not going to get the love. You won’t get the joy. They are the same, they are all mushed together.” – Rythea Lee

“The way to heal a broken heart, for me, is to let someone else in.” – Melissa Dinwiddie

“We, as humans, that’s what we do is create.” – Melissa Dinwiddie
